You know that feeling when you step into your favourite boutique hotel? Calm lighting, a warm welcome, a sense that everything has been carefully thought through to help you relax? Or that feeling when you get home from a trip, and step through the door into your comfortable space. Everything is in the right place, sleeping in your own bed feels amazing. ..That’s the kind of experience I want every new parent to have when they walk through the doors of my cosy studio in Cheam, Sutton, Surrey.

Because this isn’t just a newborn photoshoot. This is a Magda Bright Newborn Photoshoot — and that means so much more than just beautiful images.

From the moment you arrive, everything is designed to make you feel at ease. There are comfy chairs, soft drinks, biscuits, and hot coffee or tea (because, let’s face it, most new parents run on tea, coffee, biscuits and cuddles). You can sit back, relax, and take a deep breath while I work my magic. Whether you’re in leggings, loungewear, or pyjamas, you’re more than welcome. This is a no-judgement zone. If anything, I am always super impressed when new mums walk into the studio with make up on and looking all put together and stunning! I can't even remember changing out of my PJs in the first two weeks after I had my babies :)

If you need to breastfeed or pump during the session, that's absolutely fine. There is a changing mat, nappy bags, spare nappies... If baby needs feeds, nappy changes, or even poops on me – it really is no problem. I’m a mum of three myself. There’s not much I haven’t seen, and nothing fazes me. I actually find newborn sessions relaxing. And because I’m calm, your baby tends to be calm too. It’s a gentle rhythm: feeding, cuddling, soothing, posing. All done at your baby's pace, with total care and safety. A lot of new parents worry about their baby not playing ball during the session. I am calm, patient and a little bit stubborn too. I will not let your little one get upset but have many tricks up my sleeve to help them settle, if they have a nice full tummy and a clean nappy (because let's face it, nobody settles when they are hungry) I will do my best to get your little one to drift off to sleep whist we chat and you sit back and relax.

With over 10 years of experience in newborn photography, I have lots of tricks up my sleeve. I know how to settle babies, how to read their cues, and how to pose them safely and beautifully. I have a treasure trove of wraps, props, outfits, and the cutest little teddies and bunnies.
