An Autumn Wedding

I am a bit partial to autumnal weddings as mine took place in October. When a lovely couple asked me at their family session if I would photograph their very small wedding at Twickenham I did not hesitate. I love small weddings. The intimacy that comes with the day being about the couple and their commitment to each other. Mix this in with the beautiful colours of autumn and you are onto a winner :)

Unfortunately the weather decided not to play ball and it was raining, the whole day! The wedding was at 4pm so I spent half the morning locating a clear umbrella for some outdoor shots of the bride and groom. I had a rainproof cover for my camera ready and was going to make the best of the rain :)

The weather however decided to be kind to us and the rain stopped at 3pm and once the ceremony started we even got sunshine. I got some amazing shots with the sun beams falling gently onto the couple and I could have cried with joy just seeing the back of my camera.
