Your little one is turning one and you would like to commemorate the milestone with a photo session. My cake smash sessions are great fun and watching your little person destroy a cake and splash about in a tin bath afterwards creates wonderful memories. But it might not be for everyone. Below is a list of alternative session options.
DOES YOUR LITTLE ONE HAVE ALLERGIES?
What happens if your baby has allergies and can't have a regular cake? I ask that you let me know if your little one has any allergies and will do my best to source a cake for your session. Alternatively you are welcome to provide your own cake (cakes MUST NOT include any vegetable shortening which can ruin my backdrops). Do get in touch to discuss the options regarding any allergies.
Another option is to have a fruit smash instead. My youngest absolutely loved melons and for her 3rd birthday asked to have a melon smash. We could use strawberries or any other soft fruit your little one adores. The session would still include a portrait session as well a splash in the tin bath just like a cake smash session.
DON'T FANCY A CAKE SMASH BUT WANT A WAY TO COMMEMORATE THE MILESTONE?
A sitter session is definitely an option for marking a first birthday milestone. I have so many cute outfits and we can get gorgeous portrait photos of your little superstar.
Have you heard of a milk bath before? I fill my little tin bath with either powdered milk with warm water or Oilatum Baby oil which is absolutely amazing as it makes your baby's skin super soft too! Then I add fresh flowers and then we add your little one. The photos look incredibly cute and they are so different to anything else you have seen. A milk bath can be a part of your cake smash if you would like. Just drop me a message and this can easily be arranged.
Don't fancy any of the above or want something different? Birthday Balloon session might be the perfect solution for you (providing the weather is good to us :) ). A cute little outfit and a oversized balloon makes for lovely photos of your little model.
Do you have something else in mind? Drop me a message or call me to discuss your ideas, I love getting creative!
